24/03/2010 Book of Rememberance opened for Amazing Teacher
Reddish Vale Technology College are asking local people to sign a Book of Rememberance for Dave Williams who sadly passed away on 12th March. Dave Williams was a dearly loved and very devoted Deputy Head at RVTC, who was so devoted to his pupils that he stayed on part time long after he was eligible to retire. He worked tirelessly is supporting children whose backgrounds where more difficult than others. 15/03/2010 Abingdon Primary School Gets it Write!
Abingdon Primary School are planning a "Big Writing" day in April and are appealing for any ex pupils, teachers and parents to come and join the fun. Writing skills are not essential, just a sense of fun and your memories of the school. There will be spray paints, writing on the walls, chalk covered playgrounds and all sorts of activities. If you remember Abingdon pass it on and come along!

16/02/2010 Local Man Raises 3000 Pounds for Stepping Hill IUD
On Saturday 13th February, Ian Brannon of South Reddish held his annual fundraiser at Holdsworth Golf Club to raise funds for Stepping Hill IUD. Ian's wife Eileen, 68, has been receiving treatment at Stepping Hill IUD for almost 2 years. The fundraising event was attended by more than 200 people from Reddish and beyond, including Darren Lynch and Geoff Pollit from Stockport County Football Club, of whom Ian and Eileen have been lifelong fans. Ian said " I am delighted with this years turnout. Both Stockport County and Sale Sharks were very generous with their donations, signed shirts, free match tickets the lot!
